FMG Stadium Waikato is presented to the public in 2002 where it has been known as a frequent host to sports events like rugby sevens, rugby league, and football. The stadium can host approximately 10,000 persons at its Brian Perry Stand, 9,000 in the Wel Networks Stand, around 5,000 standing capacity for the Greenzone and 800 individuals at the Goal Line Terrace. Seddon Park
Seddon Park received its formal designation as a stadium meant for recreation in 1864. It carried the name of the previous New Zealand prime minister Richard Seddon and was a host to first-class cricket events in the 1956 and 1957 season. Over the years, it has further established itself as a premier cricket events venue with an international match, test cricket game, 1992 Cricket World Cup, and 2015 three ICC Cricket World Cup happening all here.
