Taitua Arboretum
Taitua Arboretum is a Hamilton-based botanical garden that tourists should pay a visit to. It was John and Bunny Mortimer who planted trees and shrubs in the area in 1973 to serve as shelter to native wildlife present in the area. This was followed by continuous planting ceremonies making way for other shrub and tree varieties. The area was gifted to the Hamilton community in 1997 and achieved recognition as an arboretum.
