Dr John Viggiano – Pathlab Waikato
John Viggiano is an affiliate member of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and a general pathologist at Pathlab Waikato, a clinical laboratory based in Hamilton, New Zealand. The American-educated and trained pathologist is American Board qualified in the areas of Clinical and Anatomic Pathology and has also completed a post-graduate fellowship in Anatomic Pathology at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Centre. It was during this fellowship study that he underwent intensive bone pathology training under Dr Joseph Mirra. Murray Thorburn is the lead breast pathologist, histocytopathologist as well as one of the directors of Pathlab Waikato, a pathology practice situated in Hamilton. The NZ-based pathologist obtained his medical and surgery degree from the University of Otago School of Medicine and underwent general pathology training at Wellington Hospital.
