Ian Wells Track, Piha

Ian Wells Track, Piha can be accessed from the Upper Nihotupu Track car parking area’s opposite side. It is a 100m stretch along Piha road and is recommended for experienced hikers only. The start of the hike presents a grassy driveway which would then lead to a fork, right part points to the lower part of the hill while the left guides hiker to the upper area. Its bottom part has a dam, bushy area and a stream. Experienced trampers can head over to the muddy area at the far side of the dam.
