“We went on a cold day in June in the afternoon, and it was incredibly cold here. It is in the shadow of Mt Kaukau (pronounced Cocoa). I’d suggest adding an extra layer and grabbing a hot drink from the Cafe before coming up the hill to keep your hands warm. The playground is fantastic though with swings, a climbing area, a flying fox, and a really cool slide. The playground is right next to a stream. There is a toilet block next to the car park.
