Karangahake Windows Walk

Karangahake Windows Walk is a representation of the previous booming mining business present in the area. The Tauranga-based landmark lets in guests to see a glimpse of what was previously designated for mining, battery and cyanide. Companies such as the Woodstock Gold Mining Company, Talisman Companies and Crown Gold Mining Co have utilized the place for their mining, cyanide and battery plant. Today the government decided to open the area to the public offering walking, tramping, camping, hiking and other exciting activities that involve exploring the gold mines and surrounding structures.

Te Puna Quarry Park

Te Puna Quarry Park is situated in Tauranga, New Zealand and presents gorgeous views to its visitors. A rich collection of fauna greets guest dominated by cymbidium orchids, tree ferns, native plants and trees. The area was previously dedicated to quarrying and when the operation was halted it was converted into a public park open 365 days a year. Along the walking paths are stunning sculptures and artistic spots delivered by the lovely natural elements complementing and sometimes contrasting each other. Its garden area features succulents, cacti, arboretum, bonsai, palm grove and a designated spot for butterflies.
