Pump Dance Studio was established in 2001 by Libby George a young entrepreneur. Libby at 16 years of age started a weekly hip-hop class as her own after-school job and now there is no evidence of its humble beginning with its 19 staff members managing the dance school. The Wellington-based dance school has currently more than 400 dancers. From a special hip-hop class, they have introduced other disciplines like contemporary and jazz dance lessons. Their homegrown hip-hop crew competed locally and internationally bagging countless awards here and there with the 2013 win in Serbia as the most memorable.
